D-now April 9th-11th

Disciple Now is less than a month away. Please take the chance to get your registration turned into me as soon as possible. The dates for the weekend are April 9th-11th 2010. Registration will close on March 28th. The cost for the weekend is $25 per student or $40 per two siblings. If your family has more than two siblings attending call me for a price. The weekend is going to be jam packed with excitement and sweet time of Bible study. All you have to do is register and show up Friday night April 9th with some clothes, sleeping bag, Bible, and a pen. We will spend the weekend drawing closer to Christ through studying God's word. We will also have the opportunity to give back to our community with a mission project on Saturday. Sunday we will wrap things up after our morning worship service. During the weekend you will get to hear the band Strickland and our guest speaker Chris Wells. You will also get a free shirt, food, study guide and a stellar time of worship. Please sign-up soon and bring your friends. Don't forget about the challenges that are out there. 100 people = Trey is bald and if you bring the most friends that stay the entire weekend you win an iPod touch.

March 7th, 2010

March 7th 2010 is a day to put on the calendar. Will you be apart of it??? Roll call Sunday!!! It's time to find everyone on our roster and invite them to church. This is a special emphasis on finding those that have been missing from Sunday School. We all know some one that has been missing from Sunday School lately. Start inviting your friends today. Help us find those that have been M.I.A (missing in action) from Sunday School. Don't forget we will have Bo-berry biscuits that morning. Remember Sunday School starts at 9:20am get their early to enjoy a biscuit or two.

So you see $25 wont get you a great deal of stuff when you spend it on your own, but if you give it to me look what it can do in a 3 day period: I can feed you for 3 days, give you a t-shirt, bring in a great speaker, get you in front of a sweet band, and all the fun you could ever want.

Registration for D-Now is open and last until Wednesday March 30th. You can get a registration form from me in person or I can email you one! Please bring your form and $25 to me as soon as you can.

February

Well I have to hand it to you all who stuck with the Saints they pulled it out. We had a great time at Russell and Laura's a big thanks to them for hosting us. If you were not their you missed out. We have a busy month a head so please do not forget about the opportunities to be involved with what we are doing at church.
Feb. 14th- The Valentines banquet- all youth participating please arrive at 5:30pm and wear black pants and a white shirt. We will be serving at the event. Please remember that some of the funds raised at the event will go to support the student ministry.
Feb. 19th- Winter Jam in Columbia- We will leave from the church at 3:30pm on Friday the 19th and head to Columbia. It will be late when we return from the event. Please bring money for dinner and if you want a shirt or something. Bring a friend or two.

New discipleship groups

Last night at CrossWalk we kicked off new discipleship groups. Each group is tackling a different book of the bible and growing deeper in our walk with Christ. Instead of 2 groups in the past we now have 4 groups. We have divided by gender and age. I am looking forward to a time of growth and renewal in our groups. Please come join us we want you to grow with us.

Super Bowl shin dig 2010

I think Hank has said it best "Are you ready for some football". It's that time of year again. Russell and Laura Fowler have so graciously opened their home to us. We will still have a normal schedule Sunday with pizza fest and CrossTalk. We will leave after CrossTalk and head out to Russell and Laura's we will hang out until 9pm and then make our way back to the church. So plan to bring your favorite snack and wear your Peyton Manning jersey or maybe your Reggie Bush one. We will have a great time watching the game and hanging out. Invite a friend or 20 the more the merrier.
